One of only a few options in downtown area. Hard to find, at the ground floor of an HDb complex. The vet seemed knowledgeable. He just is hard to understand at times. Prices reasonable, and they don’t try to pressure you to pay for extraneous services (other than blood tests)
I was late to my appointment and I felt like I was being punished for it.
The front desk seems to be unorganised. I was late to my appointment (by 20 minutes). I was told that there would be 'some' waiting time as I missed my appointment. Fair enough. But I ended up waiting for 2.5 hours as I could only be fit in if an existing appointment ends shorter than planned (they seemed to last between 25 to 40 minutes).
I was told about this only after an hour of waiting. I finally managed to visit the vet for a vaccination only to find out that our pet had to be observed for 20 to 30 minutes after vaccination at the clinic and 2 hours after that at home. I did not plan a 5 hour window for the vaccination. A little proactive approach would have saved a lot of wasted time and stress.
Very bad experience overall, thumbs down. No comments on the vets as the actual consultation was pretty standard.
My second visit to get a prescription for my bunny Funa because our vet doesnt carry the medication. The team is very polite, friendly and responsive to my email. I really appreciated their excellent response. A good positive vibe.
Put my pet rat down at Monster Pet Vet recently. They were really accomodating, and helped me to fix an appointment for the day itself despite the tight schedule. The staff there were very thoughtful, offering me a towel to wrap the rats' carrier in, increasing the aircon temperature to prevent them from getting cold, and making sure the big dogs there did not get too close to the carrier in order to minimise their stress. The vet understood and shared my same urgency, promptly getting my rat on oxygen/ heat mat for warmth. The vet was patient and thorough in answering my questions, the whole process was transparent and I was kept in the loop with updates. It really meant alot to me to have sent my pet off with a dignified death.
Not easy to find a place in SG that is adept at treating small "pocket-sized" animals. Both my dwarf hamsters were treated here — have to mention that one was previously misdiagnosed/treatment was therefore delayed at another highly rated clinic "TAD" @ AMK using antibiotics, turns out, my hammie was suffering from a virus so antibiotics wouldn't have helped! So angry w myself for not seeking a 2nd opinion sooner for my lil old lady. Anw, the vet techs and Drs (I've only ever had experience w both Dr Songs though) here are all super friendly, kind and helpful! Quite far for me to travel to, but definitely worth it <3 Thank you for all the hardwork!
For my rabbit's consultation in the morning. The Monster Team was friendly and courteous. They are able to provide a reasonable investigation of my pet's condition and articulate clear instructions to administer medicine. The doc and nurses are knowledgeable and made themselves approachable to mention fellow up calls and the next course of action with possible what-ifs. its a very quick and effective visit. I came out understanding my pet's condition better and know what to do when the condition got worse.
Called the Vet, and ask about procedure price said it is only 300 end up charged us 700. So much more and so expensive. The procedure is just teeth trimming for a guinea pig.
